NWTR 2020 Is Postponed

Dear Northwest Tandem Rally Community,

After lengthy discussions with the NWTR board, due to the uncertainty of the COVID-19 crisis, we are postponing our 2020 Spokane Rally to 2021. The health and safety of our community is our top priority during this unprecedented time. The new date will be July 2-5, 2021 and the venue will remain at the Eastern Washington University Campus in Cheney, Washington.

Given the increasing and overwhelming concerns that go along with COVID-19, and with so much uncertainly, we currently have no clear end in sight which is nearly impossible for planning an event of this caliber. Additionally, 95% of our participants are traveling to attend the rally and we felt it was in the best interest of our rally community to postpone. We certainly do not want to deepen the economic impact or cause any further hardships at this time. Most importantly, we want you to stay in, stay healthy, and close to home.

CURRENT REGISTRANTS: For those who have already registered for 2020, in good faith (and with 100% approval from the NTWR Board), we are requesting that you to allow us to maintain and roll over your entry fees until July 2021. If the 2021 date will not work with your schedule, please email (marlaraeemde@gmail.com) and we will issue a refund check. Refunds will of course be 100% of the entry fees, not including the online fees from signmeup.com. (Note—online registration fees will be applied a second time if you re-register for 2021, after a refund)

2021 UPDATES AND REGISTRATION: We will be emailing all of our current registrants in the near future and for those of you who have not signed up, 2021 sign-up information will be available in the coming months. Please stay tuned to our website, https://2021.nwtr.org for updated information. We will continue to update our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/336713583901282/ as well. We greatly appreciate your support in these unprecedented times.

Thank you for your patience as we have been monitoring this situation over the last month or so and a big shout out to Dwan Shephard at Co-Motion Cycles for working with us to accommodate this schedule change. Eugene will now move to July 2022.

P.S. THE 2020 SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE: Lastly, we’d like to recognize 2020 and create a social media challenge by posting your tandem photos over the weekend of July 4-5, 2020 to our FB page! In the spirit of the 2020 rally, we can celebrate together virtually with our photos! We will also have a couple of gift card drawings for those who post on the July 4th weekend!
